  1. Free cost check. 15 minutes on what you pay now and who needs what.
  2. Plan. Which staff go on which tier, what stays put, the saving, and a cutover date.
  3. Move your mail, nothing lost. Mailboxes, folders, contacts and calendars copied across before the switch.
  4. DNS and security records. Domain, MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up properly, so your mail is delivered and not spoofed.
  5. Training. Phones and computers set up, and a short walkthrough for your team.
  6. Ongoing help. $120 an hour as needed, or a care plan at $59 or $159 a month.

You pay the provider directly. We take no margin.

Your subscription is in your name, billed by the provider at their published price. Service Broker takes no margin or commission. We're paid only for setup, migration and support time, so our advice stays independent.

When to stay on Google or Microsoft

Cheaper isn't always better. We'll tell you if switching doesn't suit you, or suggest a mix.

Heavy Excel users

Complex macros (VBA), Power Query, Power BI or add-ins that need desktop Microsoft Office. Keep those people on Microsoft 365.

Teams-based clients

If your customers or head office run everything through Microsoft Teams channels or SharePoint, staying in Microsoft is usually simpler.

Built around Google

Lots of Apps Script, AppSheet, Looker Studio or shared drives other companies rely on? Moving may cost more than it saves.

Big mailboxes

The email-only tier has 5 GB per user. Staff with years of large attachments need the suite tier or an archive first.

Apps tied to your login

Software that signs in with Microsoft or Google accounts needs checking first. We list these in the plan.

Annual billing

The low prices are on annual plans, and existing Microsoft or Google annual commitments may need to run out first.

Questions

Who is the provider?

A state-of-the-art cloud provider used by millions of businesses worldwide, with Australian data centres. We name it in your free cost check and written plan. You sign up in your own name and pay the provider directly at their published prices.

Will I lose any email in the move?

No. We copy existing mailboxes, folders, contacts and calendars across before we switch your domain over, then catch anything that arrives during the changeover. We keep a way back until you are happy.

Can I keep using Outlook or my phone's mail app?

Yes. Both tiers work with Outlook, Apple Mail and the built-in mail apps on iPhone and Android (IMAP and ActiveSync), as well as the provider's own web and mobile apps.

Can some staff stay on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?

Yes. A common setup is office staff staying on Microsoft 365 while field staff move to lower-cost mail. We work out the cleanest way to split it, often by giving field staff addresses on a second domain.

What does Service Broker charge?

The book a free 15-minute cost check is free. Setup and migration are charged at $120 an hour (most small offices take a few hours), or covered by a care plan at $59 or $159 a month. We take no margin or commission on your subscription.

Are the provider prices fixed?

They are the providers' own published Australian prices as at October 2026, on annual billing, and they can change. We check current prices again in your written plan.
